Slowly but surely we are making some progress with the bike. I already have new tires and battery, carburettors have been cleaned, and next job is the starter motor.

I was thinking about getting new exhaust silencers, I would like to have a bit louder exhausts, but not so much to annoy my neighbours. I was looking at something like these (Louis[Read more]

  • Hello!
So after 3 years the time has come to put my twin back on the road and I am really excited about it! Today I took it to my friend’s garage, we will start working on it in the following weeks.

The plan is first to check the engine and see what needs to be done. Next thing is the starter, new tyres and I would also like to change the brake…[Read more]

  • Hi,

I just saw that the topic lost all the photos, so I am adding a few for the new visitors on site. I do not find a button for editing old posts, is this even possible?

In addition, some good news for my twin: the plan is to get it running again over the winter and put it back on the road by spring 2018. I mean, it still works as always, but I…[Read more]

  • New season for riding already started here, but I wanted to share with you a video I made last year. It was taken on Croatian coast, from Karlobag to Stari Grad. I used a cheap SJ Cam, which was mounted on the left mirror, that is why the video is a bit “shaky”, but the overall quality of the camera is surprisingly good for the price (around 70…[Read more]

  • Hi Michael,

the case came with the bike. I admit it looks a bit unproportionate and high, but it is nice to have a lot of room for storage. The weight limit is according to instructions only 10 kg. I will go on my favourite twisty road with and without the case to see the difference in handling.

    Cheers,
    Marko

  • Here it is!
I obviously ignored most of your advicesĀ šŸ˜³ Ā and bought a Kawasaki Versys 650 from 2011 (with ABS of course)!

So let me try to explain myself:Ā
the first reason is that unfortunately I do not have enough time to ride anyway and it doesn’t make sense to get a really big bike at this time. With this one, at least the costs for re…[Read more]

I agree with Michael on that. My previous bike was also equipped with ABS and I am quite sure that it helped me in at least two occasions. If the ABS is working properly, you do not even notice it is there until you really need it.

My only crash with motorcycle was also in wet and the road was slippery, fortunately the speed was very low and it…[Read more]

Well, the thing is that I need to justify the purchase of another bike to my wife…
In that case safety is a perfect argument, so ABS is a top priority. Which means that a lot of very cool bikes (including ZRX) are not an option.

  • Thanks for sharing your experience. As mentioned, I will try not to look for one model only but rather choose one that will be the best deal.

As far as two cylinders vs. four are concerned, I also had bad experience with bike with four cylinders. Perhaps it was just bad luck, but my first big bike was Kawasaki GPZ600R. I was around 20 at the time…[Read more]

  • Hi Michael,

nice to hear from you and thanks for your input, useful as usual!

Bandit 1250 is also on my list, the only thing that bothers me is the weight. Of course only in theory because I haven’t tried it yet. I also like to ride on twisty mountain roads and I suppose lighter bike handels better in tight curves. That’s why I was considering…[Read more]

I’d be glad to send the covers to anyone that might want to borrow them. I keep all the plates, bungs, screws etc together so that when i need them they are all there.
