Hi Michael
Did you ever try the engine without the balance weights?. I have bought an engine where the camchain has snapped and took one of the balance weights with it along with the balance weight drivechain and tensioner mechanism, so I will either run without or try and aquire a set of secondhand balance weights and relative hardware.please let me know how it went
