This displays the breadth of magazine and journalistic talent out there. Taken in the round I find it surprising that the Lonesome™ got such a poor reputation. No-one would expect it to outperform the then-new 4-cyls of the day but it more than held its own against reasonable opposition and was more or less the cheapest 750 on the market. All this counted for little at the time which I thought was unjust then and still do, 40 years later.
