Get up not too early but not too late. Its RIDE OUT day. Our German friends organise a rideout which probably be around 100km. It will take us through 3 countries and probably last from around 10.30 till 17.00. When we arrive back at camp it will be barbeque and beer time until bed time.Day 4 – Sunday 15th
Chill out day. Some will probably be leaving camp for home so it’s the time to socialise with our brothers and swap email addresses etc. Again those remaining will probably barbeque and drink and why not as it will be our (UK) last night. It would be rude not to.Day 5 – Monday 16th
Get up, have breakfast then pack up ready to leave camp by 12.00 to get to the ferry home. Rotterdam boards from 17.00 and sails at 11.30. Harwich boards from ??? and sails at 22.30.Day 6 – Tuesday 17th
Dock at Hull at 08.00, Harwich 06.30. Say our farewells and take our trips home.NB. The ferry times are as given by the relevant ferry companies. The rest of the Itinerary is yet to be confirmed but is a good indication of what has been discussed so far. I will update this post as i find out for definite.

KaptainkwakKeymasterFrom Hull – P&O Ferries
The cost for return trip inc 2 bed cabin each is £217. If 2 were to share a cabin there would be a reduction. Meals on board are available at
Evening Meal £16.50
Breakfast £9.50If you book both it is £22.00.
The prices are each way. I have been told the meals are excellent so I am happy to book these as well which would bring the total Hull trip to £257. I would also be happy to sort our own meals if the majority prefers.
From Harwich – Stenalines
The cost for return trip inc 2 bed cabin each is £144. If 2 were to share a cabin there would be a reduction. I presume that meals on board are available and guess the cost will be similar to above.
*CHECKED STENALINE TODAY*
Prices have gone up £14 to £158. Single cabin is £30 but if you used a twin cabin it is £43 so would save £34 on total price.
Meals are available. 3 course dinner and breakfast is at £29

KaptainkwakKeymasterRIDEOUT
As some of our German friends are far more familiar with the area they will be organising the Saturday Rideout. I have asked them if possible to take in Luxembourg and Germany on the rideout. This will mean we will have been in 5 countries on this trip , including the UK. What an achievement that would be. They are looking into it for us.
Tango has requested that we stop at each border crossing to take a picture of us and our bikes under each Countries ‘Welcome’ sign. A very nice idea and momento.

KaptainkwakKeymasterThe ferry from Hull to Rotterdam (Europort) is now booked for the 5 that paid. Price was £227 but managed to get a discount (said MCN membership) and I got it for £214 so happy days all round there.
We’re all going on a summer holiday 😀

KaptainkwakKeymasterBased on the following information
Total distance – 800 miles
Economy . . . . .40mpgwe will need 20 gallons of fuel for the trip.
20 Gallons = 94 litres and at 1.30 per litre this suggests £125 should cover all fuel costs from leaving home Thursday to getting back home Tuesday.

KaptainkwakKeymasterArrangements for meeting up.
Myself, Tango and Crazybitch are meeting at mine at 11.00am for a 12.00 departure. We will be stopping at Ferrybridge services at 2.00pm where we will meet up with ChrisLWG and Toeknee. Leave Ferrybridge by 3.00pm and arrive at Hull Docks by 4.00pm which gives us plenty of time to grab a bite and a beer before boarding.
