It did say in the B1 Book that you had to disconnect the 9 pin plug inside the headlight so that there would be no load on the charging system! But to start the bike You had to unplug the 3 pin plug of the Regulator (Green Brown & Black wires) and Bridge the Brown and Green pins with a wire.

    Warning!!!

    A) DO NOT LET THE BIKE REV OVER 2000 RPM…This may cause Damage!

    B) DO NOT USE THE ELECTRIC STARTER!
    KICK START ONLY.

    I would study a B1 Manual.

    I am Not sure Yet?

But We think we may have sorted my problem that sounded very similar to yours?

Look at my thread in How to Fix it, Titled “Battery?/Charging Problem?

    I hope this helps you.

Let us know When you get around to getting some time to look at your Twin.

    Good Luck.

Well we have solved Tango’s charging problem now. Have you made any progress with yours Belgiantwin? We can methodically work through yours in the same manner. My initial guess after doing Tango’s is the Regulator. We want to get you to the 2nd International meeting at Pont de Deulin
