Afternoon all made quite a bit of progress, my mate currently has the bike and is wiring it up for me, it now runs but the starter is goosed and it’s not charging. Anyone got a usable starter for sale?

I have made quite a bit of progress but still a long way to go, I have been back in the garage doing a bit most days on the kawasaki, good physio, it’s biggest part done now but i have come up against something odd today, I can’t get the front sproket tab washer on? It was a runner when i picked it up, didn’t ride it because I wanted to get it mocked up asap so I’ve no idea what jets are in it.
Going to go with Mikuni 34 carbs with this build

@philpassingham have a new(er) exhaust and it soots plugs up after 10mins and bike dies. Any ideas that dont mean buying new exhaust…..thanks mate

Hopefully someone can answer this please.
I wandered why I could not start the bike and found the right hand carb slider was facing the wrong way by 180 degrees! See pic. I then discovered left hand carb diaphragm tap was pinched and not in its seat. But my question is that the left diaphragm is secure but the right diaphragm can be rotated…[Read more]
