Hi Andyfme
Al models of the 750 twin use the same starter motor so the answer to your question is yes. However if you look on he forum one member (AndyMase) has just had his starter motor refurbed for £60 which even with postage is cheaper than the refurb kits I have seen around.
Cheers

Hi Can you help me with a problem with exhaust popping,it’s only happening in the right pipe at idle and when throttling down,it was blowing at the headers but replaced exhaust rings seals and know seems pretty tight, has electronic ignition fitted and headed pipes from yourself, starts on the button or from kick, idles, pulls like a train and has good power through the range, but the popping is too much and spoils the ride, any help you can give would be greatly appreciated with thanks Andyfme
Hi Andy
That problem would suggest an air leak. Have you checked the carb to head rubbers? Start the engine and get it to tick over level. Place your hands under the carbs and lift them up the push them down. If the tick over changes then you have a leak with the inlet rubbers. That can be 3 things:
1. Perished rubbers – Replace rubbers, don’t try and repair.
2. Rubbers not sealing to the head – Apply a thin film of liquid gasket.
3. Rubbers not sealing to the carbs – This is usually caused by using jubilee clips instead of the original style clips. If jubilee clips are overtightened they start to go oval shaped and lose their seal. Further tightening only makes the problem worse.
I hope this helps.
Cheers
Andy
