Benches now reinforced [ 30 ft long ! ]. New Pillar drill and bench grinder [ thanx Aldi ] will be mounted along with my “new” engineer’s vice [ FOC courtesy of a pal] this weekend.
Electrics now all completed and working [ my own fair hand ] – just the fluorescent light fitting to go up then we’re ready to boogie.
First job is to get the frame and parts down from the garage and checked out – new headstock taper bearings and a few odds [ like under seat electrics tray ]. Then the forks need to be stripped as I’ve decided to have the lowers powder coated in the same FO Red as the frame.
Anyone got some decent fork stanchions? Mine are “borderline” rubbish !
The guy who volunteered to make up the 40DCOE Weber intake is keen – he’s rung me 3 times to ask when I’m taking the engine and flanges round ! Very, very soon now.
Wheels …… ah the wheels. My pal and I are working on another project [ Modern Cafe Racer BMW Oilhead ]and the wheels for that will be Gold powder coated – so we’re taking them all in together – next few weeks.
