For what they cost I would never reuse bearings these days if I am at that stage especially with the force you needed to get the spindle out.

If you take the bearing reference number (written on the bearing) into any bearing suppliers you will be able to get them at much cheaper prices than bike shops etc charge you, probably with the exception of the headstock taper rollers which are specifically for the auto industry. I paid £2.50 each for my CSR bearings.

The breather housing is alloy now crack on good man we need you ready for the ACE café trip in April !!!
