welcome back to the big roads sir but i dont quite understand the philpassed bit?
Philpassed, meaning to be fitted with non original parts, or unneccessary extras. Or at least that’s what the dictionary says.
Nice looking bike sir, I shall pop in and see it sometime if that’s ok with yourself.

To ‘improve’ a perfectly good machine by adding components of dubious heritage and quality on the grounds of superficially looking like they will fit. The amount of Philpassing performed was traditionally measured in ‘Heath-Robinsons’, but these days the straightforward Club Hammer is more widely used. 12 Pipe Wrenches = 1 Club Hammer. 14 CH = 1 Bodge 😀
