sounds like you need to tear entire engine down, sprocket should spin freely, how many miles/klms has engine done, what is condition of your oil?
I need to know if the cam chain sprocket on the tensioner should free wheel. I’ve got the head and barrels off and I can turn the sprocket, but it certainly doesn’t spin. I would like to know if that is normal before I try to change it out. Replacing it, according to the manual is a complete tear down of the engine, including crankshaft removal. I want to know for sure if sprocket replacement is required before going into the motor that far.
Thanks
