mmmmm, seem to remember a 440 setup in your spares unless kk has been left alone in your shed, maybe in a brown paper bag by chance19th January 2014 at 10:00 pm #10656
?? I don’t remember?
I do recall having a conversation on here about electronic ignition?
But I think? I want to stick to points as original for what I will use the bike.
Ill have a look on Tuesday I’ve got the day off.22nd January 2014 at 5:13 pm #10657
I remember looking in this brown envelope before
Is this what you wanted?
Im still not sure if I want to put mine to electronic ignition?
I do like the originality of the points & condenser?22nd January 2014 at 6:39 pm #10649
that looks like the bunny mate, think there was another part to it but the old memory isn’t wot it was22nd January 2014 at 7:02 pm #10658
I had two of each of the parts in the photo in the same envelope.
So by the looks of it I would still have a set to upgrade mine if required?22nd January 2014 at 7:54 pm #10666MichaelParticipant
I rely on the contactless CDI ignition since riding Kawa Z750Twins.
I can remember the s%$&, pardon, bad situations using points on my 50 ccm mopeds (Kreidler, Zuendapp).
If I would have a choice, I would go with contactless ignition all the time. Maybe having a spare blackbox with me when riding around the world 😉
I didn’t made a conversion to CDI to a B motor and electric. I just swapped the matching motor and the electric of a CSR into the B1 frame.
There should a “rotor with a nose” be part of the kit. The rotor for CDI is different than the B rotor, but the mechanical timing advancer is the same, as far as I know.

Michael I remember a conversation with you once before?
I don’t remember what thread?
But I do like the idea of keeping my bike on points! I hope I don’t give you cause to point and laugh when I get to the Luxembourg. :O(
But I guess I should keep a full set up for myself just in case?
I take it is hard to find all components together?
Maybe if I make it to the meet and back without any problems then I may consider letting the other set go? Any big journey’s would be done on my Honda 1000 after that.
The Kawasaki will be my weekend play toy, It will be nice to have a bike that’s not the run of the mill normal stuff you see at meets.22nd January 2014 at 8:49 pm #10660
Phil one way or another we will make sure KK gets them parts, and he will bring them over on Saturday.23rd January 2014 at 9:36 pm #10661
Ok Parts Dropped off with KK.24th January 2014 at 9:07 pm #1066225th January 2014 at 9:35 am #10650

So you have the full list of parts that are needed to convert the B to electronic ignition now haven’t you?
Could you do a easy to follow “Step by Step” with photos on how to do it?
