ParticipantHi guys,
I gave a Z750Twin Y1 to my girlfriend as a present 🙂
I tried that once before but her interest was low.
This time with an other Twin I’ve got her 😉
She already arranged a number plate and contacted her insurance.
Maybe she can ride this Twin by end of next week 🙂It has MOT / TÜV til 2015 and it is as I’ve bought it.
Needs some care, polish and moderate modification (seat, grips, etc.), but can be used as is 🙂First picture of Maria’s Twin.
Cheers, Michael

KeymasterIt will be great to meet Maria and I am very glad she will be in Belgium.
The twin you have got her looks very good condition. Hopefully you will find the time to get it sorted and she will make it there.

ParticipantWow That looks like it’s in good condition!
Well done on getting her hooked! 🙂
I am trying to am trying to spark my wife’s interest in Motobikes again! She has lost it, But still owns two. She has a Kawasaki ZX6R F3 & a Yamaha Xv535 Virago.
I am hoping my Twin will play a part as she feels easyer on the Virago & the Twin is more evenly matched, so I hope to get her out a bit this year!1st March 2014 at 9:35 am #11220Michael
ParticipantExcept some minor things which can be done in a few hours I may have to repair the starter clutch 🙂
That’s all.BTW:
As we all know the side stands of the Twins are a bit short. Putting a (wooden) tray under it will improve that situation. When travelling or going for camping that tray also helps on loose ground to avoid tilting of the bike. Ok, having and using a tray is one thing, but have you ever tried to grab that tray after you are sitting on a well packed bike, probably with a tank bag fitted ???
You can’t get that tray again.
Either someone helps with that or you have a cord fitted to the tray and to the steering bar. That enables you to pull the tray up and to store it somewhere while sitting on the bike 🙂First time ever seen with Guido and his LTD BeltDrive at a Twin Meeting. First we wondered but it is such an easy trick 🙂
As picture shows, not every (wooden) tray stands the weight of the bike ! My one broke into pieces and I had to use a very large tray.
Ok, that one hasn’t right size to travel with you 🙂Cheers, Michael

ParticipantHi Tango,
so you already know this trick 🙂
Wanted to start Maria’s LTD today,
checked oil level and drained the carbs, but it seems as the starter is not working properly.
Had a fully loaded VRLA battery and a jump start battery as well, but the electric starter is still lazy !Will swap that beast and hope the best 😉
Cheers, Michael
