z650 fork legs will fit as will z900 and z1000 but as you say they are longer you can degrease them and put araldite in the pits and carefully sand down with very fine wet and dry or a scotchpad then cover with gaiters hope this helps

My Z750 has Z650 forks on, and pushed through the yokes by about an inch and a half. They aren’t that much longer, and are easier to find.
I have a couple of pairs of Z750 forks from Ebay, all of which were pictured from the unpitted side, and arrived with bad pitting so beware if you do see some “good condition” ones for sale.
