    Hi all,

I just recently renewed the piston in my front master cylinder and now when the weather is hot the brake binds on. The only way I can get going again is to crack open the bleed nipple and release the pressure, which is not ideal as I lose a little brake fluid each time. Any ideas how I can fix this?

    Many thanks

There are only 2 things that can jam a caliper. One is the piston which assuming you have cleaned and fitted new seals when you replaced the piston which should mean it’s the caliper not floating on the bolts. Did you clean and lubricate (grease liberally) these at the same time?

Also you must have clearance between brake lever and master cylinder piston ,or pressure will just build up and lock caliper.

    Hi all,

managed to fix it in the end the breather hole in the reservoir was blocked, it is only a tiny pin hole so I got a needle and poked it through now is working fine. Thanks for all your help.
