New seat doesn’t fit…

on mine there is a good gap all round,i will look at other spare seats and see what their like 😀

Yep, my original was nicely spaced all around. The new one looks kind of lopsided. I’m going to try and get some measurements once I get relegated to the garage by the weather.

I recently installed an OEM NOS seat on my ’78 KZ750 and the seat is offset to the left about an inch or a little more. it really makes the clearance on the hinge side pretty close and the is some binding with the frame cover. i look at it and I can’t figure out what the proble is. The hinge attaches with 3 screws so you can’t really mount it incorrectly. What am I missing here? If I leave it like this I’m afraid I’ll rub the paint off of my NOS tail piece and I can’t have that!

I had to space my seat with some washers to get it to line up square.
