You go girl
24th February 2015 at 10:53 am #12290MichaelParticipantHi Kaye,
hope these will work with your “new” carbs 😉
Good luck !
Cheers, Michael
24th February 2015 at 4:28 pm #12296kayeParticipantKK, maybe i should be committed! 🙄
And Michael with a bit of luck and a following wind all will be well,
not doing them tonight going to wait for my air box to come………….25th February 2015 at 9:17 am #12291MichaelParticipantHi Kaye,
you want to fit the stock airbox again ?
That is a good idea to run the bike without hazzle 😉
… except the rubber part that connects airbox and carbs !
Think about the moog(?) conversion as already discussed. You are in the position to find the best one that matches and let us know which one you have selected (manufacturer, part nr.)The main jets actually fitted in the carbs might be a bit to large for that.
Shouldn’t be a big issue but you may want to change back to stock main jets.
… hmmm, current main jet size might not be too bad with the open exhausts ?!?
Just give it a try 😉If you need a new air filter for the stock LTD airbox you may use the one for Kawa ER5 (watercooled, Twin, naked bike). Fits perfect with absolute minor change. Just needs to cut some foam 😉
Hope to see you riding with confidence and the other Lonesome Twins to Ace-Cafe !
Keep us updated 😉
Cheers, Michael
25th February 2015 at 11:35 am #12287KaptainkwakKeymasterI’ve sent an air box over Michael. Should arrive today or tomorrow. Kaye has a filter I believe and has got some gaitors which fit the carbs lovely. Just need to confirm will fit to air box too. Thanks for info on jets. Think I’ve spare standard ones here. We will keep you posted with the progress
25th February 2015 at 7:11 pm #12297kayeParticipantHi Guys,
Thanks for the input much appreciated,
air box not arrived yet…………yes i have a new air filter and i used some steering rack gaiters for work (universal ones)it’s handy working for a car part company!
Once i get them fitted and i know all is good i’ll post the part no on here.Could not wait anymore i went to the Farm and put my exhausts on 😉 and i think they look pretty good, and sound as they look………. 😎
PS.I’m leaving the CSR badges on because i know it winds up KK 🙄
