    Wish I knew, mines been missing since I got the bike. Hope someone can tell us.

    The engine ignition key unlocks both the seat and fuel tank, the key just dose not go in as far. If it does not open then the ignition has probably been replaced. We both (her and I) can not recall ever having a different key for the seat. And our 82 ltd definitely has the same key.

    how do i find the key number for a seat lock?????

    Therein lies the problem for me, the ignition switch has been replaced with an aftermarket part.
