Found out today not best wet weather tyres..
Recon I need to change them..
Hi scruffystuff,
nice looking bike !
Wrenchmonkee style !
In Germany more than half of all twins have Bridgestone BT45.
I changed to them this year as well and they are very good under all conditions.
They are dual compound.
Hard, long lasting rubber in the middle and soft rubber at the sides.
I like that, it makes sense 😉
Max recommended tire size for the standard Bs are 100/90-19 front and 120/90-18 rear.
Of course they don’t have the rude attitude as your tires have in the moment.
Cheers, Michael
Looks great scruffystuff!
Leave the tyres on and ride accordingly!!!
Love your down pipes, where are they from?
My experience of road going knobbly tyres was that the grip was sorely lacking, especially cornering.
To each his own though, hope you enjoy the ride.
I must agree with Dougyt there. I had the same experience on my DT100. Road tyres are far better for road usage than any other tyre IMHO
Hello Michael
Yep ..wrenchmonkee stylee. That was the plan when I purchased the bike..Yeah I know road tyres make sense. Never rode on knobblys (Twinduros)on road before. They are not are that bad on dry day anyway. Will have a look at those you mentioned.
Hello Richh
Thanks.
Not sure about the down pipes thought they were standard as they came with the bike. Still if you want to know exactly ask Philpas.. Thats where some of the bike initially came from.
Hi Dougyt
Yeah.. back end has skipped out occasionally ..But hey. just had to not ride it like I stole it.. oh and kept on applying the anusol.
