Found a new (to me) bike shop today in Blackburn about 16 miles from me.
Had a pair of wheels respoked with Stainless spokes, new rim tapes, tubes and BT45 tyres.
£370 and he bead blasted the hubs.
Respokes were £85 each wheel, £75 for galvanised spokes.
Tyres were
19″ front – £68
16″ rear – £9518″ rear are £84
Above prices are fitted.
He also supplies spokes at £30 per wheel galvanised and £50 per wheel stainless. He will need sample spokes as he makes his own and he operates a postal service too.
Got 5 litre bottle of Silkoline 20/50’s mineral oil for £17.
Service was excellent and wheels turned round in 2 days.
