Hi all
I took my head off as have been getting oil spreading around the outside front of the cylinders and working it’s way round as it’s blown by the wind. Thought it was the head gasket but when I got the head off, the only sign of any oil is from these two holes, either in the cylinder block, or else from the matching holes in the head.
The holes appear to be blind. What are they for and how can oil be finding its way out of them? Any ideas?
Thanks
Andy
Hi
I’m new here and to z750b’s but i picked my one up and it had masses of oil on engine and everything down wind particularly left hand side.
One thing i thought was odd was the cam cover being bolted to the frame? Surely if the engine vibrates this will interfere with the cam cover gasket?
Jon, yours looks pretty tame compared to what I found on stripping my B1. I am stripping it back to the cases and replacing every O ring and gasket. I have heard that oil can leak from the two small plugs, which have O rings on each end, and fit in those holes between the outside two cylinder head bolts. Cheers Bevan
