This project will be paused for the next 12 days.
Then my son will be with me for the next “Daddy weekend” 🙂In the meanwhile I’ll have to look if there is a matching spare motor and some electrics available without the need to remove these components from another LTD Y1 😉
Of course I will work on “Jekyll or Hyde” to get that rear fairing and electric modification project running 😉
Cheers, Michael
9th February 2014 at 11:06 pm #10723KaptainkwakKeymasterI am loving this build Michael. I wish I had somewhere I could play on one of these. It looks like a pile of fun
9th February 2014 at 11:20 pm #10762MichaelParticipantIf everything goes well it should be finished within 4, max. 6 weeks from now 😉
Will post a video of our first rides 🙂
Can’t stand waiting !Not decided yet, but there is an option to travel by car and a large trailer to the Twin meeting in Belgium. For sure I will bring this bike with me and everyone interested will have a chance to ride it ;-)))
Cheers, Michael
9th February 2014 at 11:34 pm #10724KaptainkwakKeymasterDo not tease me Michael lol. I may just ride off all the way home 😀
9th February 2014 at 11:35 pm #10725KaptainkwakKeymasterWill it be another ‘Daddy Weekend’? Are you bringing your son?
9th February 2014 at 11:54 pm #10763MichaelParticipantGood question !!!
Never thought about it until this moment.
It is my meeting, my personal highlight of the year !
In the past the answer was just a simple “No!”
He is still at school and there are no holidays that weekend and following days.
So the answer this year will be “No!”
Ok, have to check that option with the next Twin meeting ;-)))

10th February 2014 at 9:27 pm #10750TangoParticipantHa Ha! I know what you mean Michael.
Every year I go away on my bike without the Wife or the Kids!
Sometimes its nice to have nobody else to worry about!
And its Nice not to have to watch yourself and worry if you will get yourself in trouble!
No … “I told you not to drink so much!” off the wife!
Or “Mum Guess what Dad did!” off you Beloved Offspring! …lol
10th February 2014 at 10:33 pm #10764MichaelParticipantHi guys,
his name is Nils and he is a wild guy !
Last week a teacher caught him, smoking in the school’s toilet.
Oh, what a trouble :-0In two years he turned 16 and is allowed to drink beer.
Do you really want this guy attending a Twin meeting ?
Lol, Rofl.@ Tango:
We may have a short(!) chat about our ex-wives at the meeting and then let’s grab another beer :-)))Cheers, Michael
11th February 2014 at 7:46 pm #10751TangoParticipantMichael Your On! 😀 :pint:
11th February 2014 at 8:50 pm #10765MichaelParticipantHi Tango,

The “beer drinking smiley” is a nice one 😉Next beer is for you !!!
CHEERS!

13th February 2014 at 11:45 am #10766MichaelParticipantJust a little progress:
Painted the exhaust in cheap black “thermo” paint and tried a real motocross seat (ebay, 1,- Euro) which doesn’t fit and I will not spend a minute to adopt that seat to that frame. Ok, next seat (ebay, 4,- Euros) is ordered 🙂Have fun!
Cheers, Michael13th February 2014 at 11:47 am #10727KaptainkwakKeymasterIt is looking amazing Michael. Your son is a lucky lad.
13th February 2014 at 12:16 pm #10767MichaelParticipantHi KK,
doing the best I can do for him, of course 😉
Some things can’t be pushed into the kids by education, these things are up to them to understand.
You may point the direction, but it is their choice where to go to.Pushing him to motorbikes is an easy job 😉
Cheers, Michael
13th February 2014 at 1:26 pm #10728KaptainkwakKeymasterIndeed Michael.
Well if he does not want it you know where I live . . . 😆 🙄
