Michael,
you might be right, I am looking for some similar saddelbags! And also our roads are getting so bad that this bike would be perfect 🙂

20th April 2014 at 1:50 am #10776MichaelParticipantMarko,
just meant the baggage carrier, not the “enduro/cross” setup 😉
Finally this was boring !
Wasted days to fix electrics and to find the ignition sparks.
Checked the starter clutch, everything seamed to be ok, but it is not working correct.
Sparks are there but motor didn’t fire up !!!
Checked the carbs again, everything fine.I stepped back to my original plan to change an existing LTD Y1 to the Dirtbike. Started last night, 6 hours ago.
Handled both bikes, removed the exhausts and swapped the front end.
Here some pictures before I go to bed 🙂
Cheers, Michael

Ok, will swap the rear end later today 🙂

20th April 2014 at 9:43 pm #10778MichaelParticipantHi guys,
did a test ride this evening 🙂
Not perfect, but running 🙂
Electric starter and starter clutch working. Good idle and higher rev performance. Bad midrange.
I am happy with that so far and will my son do some more improvements 🙂
E.g. swap carbs and throttle grip.Cheers, Michael
20th April 2014 at 10:45 pm #10735KaptainkwakKeymasterShe is a bit of a beast Michael. I wish I had a lace to ride such a bike. Keep up the good work.
24th April 2014 at 8:29 pm #10779MichaelParticipantHi guys,
today was the day 🙂
Had a test run through the fields and forest on very, very small roads / lanes ?
Would be impossible to use that way with a normal car !
Some puddles, rootage, etc.Twin handled that souvereign, I will need some more exercise to handle that 🙂
Riding on a graveled road, rear wheel spins up to 4th gear, even carb setting is not perfect for midrange power.
Had so much fun !!!
Cheers, Michael
24th April 2014 at 10:40 pm #10736KaptainkwakKeymasterNow that looks like you have had a proper fun day. I am impressed with the look of the bike.
Mice one Michael. I hope it makes it to Belgium
24th April 2014 at 11:00 pm #10780MichaelParticipantHi KK,
tending to grab the trailer it is very likely that you can have a test ride of this bike in Belgium :-)))
Cheers, Michael
26th April 2014 at 2:52 pm #10781MichaelParticipantToday, 26th of April 2014 my son Nils had his great day !
He made some testrides with the Dirtbike !
It is actually the first time he is riding a 750Twin himself.
He has good feeling for throttle and clutch and had a lot of fun while being reasonable careful 🙂Cheers, Michael and Nils
27th April 2014 at 10:14 am #10737KaptainkwakKeymasterExcellent. Nils looks happy and at home on the twin. He is a lucky lad to have you as a Father. Would you like to adopt me as well?
27th April 2014 at 5:10 pm #10720philpassinghamParticipantprobably same size
29th April 2014 at 6:52 pm #10742dougytParticipantCan’t be the same size, Nils could touch the floor.
Great work Michael, looks like you will both be enjoying the bike.
29th April 2014 at 8:17 pm #10782MichaelParticipantThe bike is starting instantaneous with choke fully pulled (10°C, wet condition), after some seconds reduced choke is fine.
Some more seconds and some pulls on the throttle grip it runs without choke.
Idle speed can be set easily even to lowest possible revs 🙂I am very happy with this behaviour 🙂
Carbs are CSR ones (no mixture screws) and I may swap them with LTD ones (mixture screw available).Nils is about 165 cm tall, I am 170 cm tall.
KK, what is your size ?
Shall we keep the current seat height for you ?Cheers, Michael
29th April 2014 at 8:54 pm #10738KaptainkwakKeymasterDon’t you Bl**dy start as well 😀
I too am 170cm so NO the height does not need to be changed.
29th April 2014 at 9:47 pm #10783MichaelParticipantMy ex-wife is 156 cm and very slim !
With 170 cm in size you are not a dwarf !!!
Otherwise I would be a dwarf as well :-)))

This is a lowered seat of a LTD.
We may go and change upholstery if I find the time.Would be even better to have a higher seat.
Matches the rest of setup even better 🙂Nils can cope with a higher seat as well.
Cheers, Michael
