    No takers?
No one from the intelligent side of the North South divide interested in meeting your fellow Z750 owners?
    🙁

White spirit looks a good alternative to barbecue coals. And if you’re from oop North you can always drink it too.

Your story sounds like mine John. I was 12 years without riding a bike. Got my B twin, and fell in love with it, same reason too, torque and a great bike to ride.
Mine needs choke for a little while from cold too, but not too long.

Any sunny day on a weekend is good for me.
The Vic was a great meet up place last year, and well worth it to meet the other members, all 3 of you who turned up lol. I’m pretty much open to almost any weekend, as always though I have no wet weather gear, so if it rains I won’t be there.

Hi John, welcome to the forums.
Great looking bike, and good to see you discovered how to post a pic so we could all see your pride and joy.

Exhausts are for wimps. Sounds pretty good as well as the light show without them.

What exactly do you mean by “new build”?

If it’s an old bike which hasn’t been run for several years:
Fresh oil and filter are a must. Drain fuel tank and fill with fresh fuel. Start up and make sure the oil light goes out fairly quickly.

On a new engine, obviously fresh oil and filter are all taken as given. Start up and make sure the oil light goes out fairly quickly. Run for about a minute or so, switch off and check for leaks. After that start up and run at a fast idle for a few minutes, this helps “bed in” the camshaft and followers, as they can pick up on each other ripping out small bits of metal if run slowly.

In either case do not crank for too long if the engine isn’t starting, it won’t do the starter or engine any good to turn over for extended periods.

My daughter has requested green, and pink. She isn’t usually a pink kind of girl though (at the moment it’s Emo styling with lots of black) but as my wife says, it’s subject to change over the next year or so.

That’s what we all want to know. Troods seems such a nice girl, how did she get tied up with you? You must have some really incriminating evidence of something she did.
