gave them vernier caliper readings/measurements
make type model etc
they still sent the wrong part i requested
they wouldnt give the money back but wanted to supply another part at postage cost to me and the wrong part returned at my expense.grrrr

just a thought
you may have done this already but

decent size washer,weld a small tab/plate to it grind/polish it smooth,drill a small hole in it,
bend it over the nut,pass wire thru it and attach to nxt one in same manner
or make the tabs from thin sheet ,easy to make to be honest,
failing that
locktite the threads

bike was beef from oldham
hoggy in scotland b4 that
think he built it into flat tracker
beef bought it,rode it till it gave him probs
think he gave it to a m8 of his to fettle it
but the guy just had no idea what he was doing
i had to totally rewire the bike,
it only had 1 inline fuse
