Oh Oh… is it going to be an Urban Bad Ass Single seat Chop Phil? πŸ‘Ώ

Solid Wheels suggest a Kind of Survival Motorcycle kind of feel to it … Especially with the Black on Black with a Hint of Black paint work … One would presume that that would be of the matt variety? 😎

I have seen the one or other report on TV about OCC.
They are doing typical american botch jobs, horrible !
It is all just for show.
OK, result “looks” nice and they have plenty of space and maschinery, but being one of world’s best bike builders, paaaah !

I love the stuff from Thunderbike:

OK, it is just Harleys, but work is done the german way.
That is the fine art of bike engineering ;-)))

Another crazy guy from Germany is Fred Kodlin. He has some amazing ideas and is rated as the german Arlen Ness πŸ™‚
    http://www.kodlin.com/frameset_en.htm

The “newcomer” in german custom bike building is Markus Walz.
Ultra low frames, ultra wide rear tires are/were his distinctive mark.

Having seen this, WTF is OCC ?

    Have fun !!!
    Cheers, Michael

Oh, no, no, that was my fault.
English is still a foreign language to me, please be patient πŸ™‚

I know who OCC is πŸ™‚

    “Having seen this” means:
having visited the above mentioned links and have seen the shown bikes there?

“WTF” this time means “Who the f…?”

Maybe my english writing was to close/direct/shunt to german grammar, words and sense of humour as it should be, for you native speakers to understand :-)))

    Beg your pardon ;-))))))

    Cheers, Michael

No worries Michael and certainly no need to apologise. Your English is far better than some of ours and our German is virtually non existent. I did think it strange that you would not know OCC but as you did not put a link to them I thought I would that is all.

I do agree with you though Choppers sind Scheiße

Just had a visit at OCC website.
Ok, must admit the shown bikes are looking not to bad, but what I saw on TV how they achieve these results, I was really disappointed.

    Hi Phil,
last year I was in St. Tropez, France. That is in the south, Cote d’ Azur, close to Nice (Nizza), Cannes and the italian border.
There was a large Harley meeting that time and I have seen one bike that was extraordinary. Maybe you like it and pics provide some inspiration πŸ˜‰

    Cheers, Michael

occ don’t build bikes, they just take parts off the shelf and bolt them on a frame that also came off a shelf

Quote PHILPASS: occ don’t build bikes, they just take parts off the shelf and bolt them on a frame that also came off a shelf

    Errr. Isn’t that called building?

    Good question !

So that is the typical way of Harley customizing!

Order bits and pieces off a catalogue or in a webshop, get the stuff, replace stock components with some billet pieces and your bike building is done within a single afternoon.

I am sure our understanding of customizing a bike is different than that :-)))

BTW: Did you know you can build a “Harley” only with accessories parts, without using any stock Harley-Davidson piece with it ?
You can buy everything as an aftermarket product for them !
