I’ve set my phone camera to its smallest pgoto size so I can load the photos straight onto the site, because the file size is under the max size allowed! So this way I dont have to mess about resizing them! 🙂
gsx swing arm is in the bin, looking for summat else to use
Oh Bugger!
Big set back Phil? or just a New direction.
was having big problems getting a drum wheel into a disc swingarm, put a std swingarm in and im looking for a 16″ z wheel to fit
Hi Phil,
had same issues when selecting rear wheels, swing arms and frames.
Using a B frame (rear disk brake) it is very difficult to use a drum brake and using a LTD frame you can’t do it with a disc brake.
Have some parts available.
Swing arm of ZZR500/600 and Yamaha XJ600 (both central suspension), some cast wheels incl. ZX9R for 180/55-17 tire.
Classic 18″ spoked wheels with disc brake (Z650 / Z1000?) as well.
16″ LTD wheels (drum brakes) as cast version or as LTD Y1 spoked version.
What are your plans ?
Cheers, Michael
looking for a z1000 ltd rear wheel with disc, got my eyes on a couple
Good luck, Sir !
If you get desperate mate I still have the mags I got from you some time ago. 16″ drum rear mmm
bit of a lull going on,cant decide which way to go with the rear end,got mudguards now from a Yamaha cruiser to go with my multi make theme as usual, gonna take kks offer of a csr swing arm and use my 15″ rear wheel I think when work calms down a bit,not enuff hours in the day
Result, found a local wizard who can weld aluminium so I can use the gsx swing arm and convert it to twin shock, saves pissing about with rear wheels, can use the en wheel I have
Hi Phil,
good news !
That conversion can be done in a very good way.
Here are pics of the ZZR600 central suspension swingarm converted to dual shock:
Cheers, Michael
