ParticipantPrices out here for the twin are completely bizarre. There is a 77 that is in kind of ratty shape and has been for sale in Victoria for about a year at $5000AUD. There is one with somethings like 78000kms but in good nick selling for $7000AUD. I need to get this one sold so i am asking for $3850AUD.

ParticipantRead this, changed to Iradium spark plugs. The machine has never run better. I did not expect such a noticeable difference to idle and throttle response!

ParticipantHi KK,
It was a beautiful bike that had led a very cared for life. I had so little experience when i bought it that i assumed everyone took care of their KZ750 twins in the same fashion. I was wrong. With hindsight I do now feel a bit bad for chopping such a pristine machine but I lavished so much care on the build that i hope that the heart of the machine is still happy on some level.
As far as model ID goes. We never got the K in Australia. Am I correct in thinking that the S is essentially the K but with chain drive?20th February 2017 at 11:33 am #11732jett
ParticipantPlease excuse my ignorance about engines, but is there an 865 kit that i can buy (or a list of high quality pieces that i can assemble) and then take to a engine builder here in Australia and have them do the work?
Apologies for the endless questions. Thank you for being so generous with your time.20th February 2017 at 3:55 am #12021jett
ParticipantThis is fascinating. Amazing work Michael!

ParticipantHi Atlarge,
That speedo is only in KMs so it is only about 31000 milesI have been riding one that is 88000 kms which is about 55000 miles. That was a bit tired but the gear box was still in great shape so there must be some longevity in them!
