WOW. That is a big shout Michael. I don’t know why you say that but I will go with what you say. I had not heard of DOT5.1 until 3 days ago. Great advice.
Thank You

With Thanks to Michael here is a picture of the camp with our area (up to 75) in the blue triangle. To those who went in 2006 it is the field where we had the camp fire

By the way Guys I used Halfrauds own Satin Gloss black paint. For some unknown reason this is resistant to Dot 4 brake fluid. However I have been told that DOT 5.1 fluid is safe with paint so as a double precaution I am going to try that.

Yes Michael I have thought about the sandpaper on the lettering. As you say it will look good but once the paint is broken it leaves the aluminium open to corrosion so I am not sure yet.

Good valid comments Michael about the plastic coated ones. I have been to a shop and bought off the shelf. They are not plastic coated as I have to order those (which I will) and I do not want to stop progress.

Managed to get a bit more done today. I’ve removed the CSR forks etc, cleaned and greased the Headstock bearings and fitted the refurbed Y1 forks. Twin discs are fitted but I need to get some more screws as these are the fine thread ones. She is starting to look a bit like a bike again.

Well guys just to keep you updated with our trip. We have struggled to find a place in Luxembourg that can accommodate us on the dates we have picked. We have however managed to make contact with Pont de Deulin in Belgium which those of you who went in 2006 should remember.
I am talking with Michael to make the arrangements and hopefully we will…[Read more]
