That is like my thinking Michael. If memory serves me right there are 2 gears in the starter motor. When we have made contact and the motor has spun it runs very freely which is why I suspected starter chain then starter clutch. From the starter motor sprocket through to the crank seems to be in good working order so that can only leave the gears…[Read more]

Well this plot is certainly getting thicker. We have done some tests and the starter clutch is working fine. Both sprockets and chain are fine. The only other problem I can see would be a fault with the gears in the starter motor itself. Tango is going to remove that and split the starter motor to check the gears and while in there he is going to…[Read more]

Cheers guys your help is most appreciated. Michael I fully respect your comments on translation and i will find the correct English information.
Tango has more than one issue here. His starter motor circuit is incomplete at the moment so may deceive diagnosis. The mechanics of the circuit are all in place with the suspected exception of the…[Read more]

Me too Michael. The nose cone is now lacquered. I need to final flat and polish then fit. I have the metal to make brackets. I need to fit the cone as with now having the ‘T’ bars there is an ugly gap. The bonus is I will get some protection from it. As soon as this is fitted I will post some pics.

No worries Michael and certainly no need to apologise. Your English is far better than some of ours and our German is virtually non existent. I did think it strange that you would not know OCC but as you did not put a link to them I thought I would that is all.
I do agree with you though Choppers sind Scheiße

A very interesting view Michael and very true. I love many songs but I could not say the lyrics. It is the style that I love and also the artist. It could be great fun 😀 😆 🙄

RIDEOUT
As some of our German friends are far more familiar with the area they will be organising the Saturday Rideout. I have asked them if possible to take in Luxembourg and Germany on the rideout. This will mean we will have been in 5 countries on this trip , including the UK. What an achievement that would be. They are looking into it for…[Read more]

Right boys we are moving again.
We have had confirmation from Pont de Deulin of our booking so WE ARE OFF TO BELGIUM again in June.
The dates, ferry travel etc are all as before. Pont de Deulin is several kilometres nearer to the UK than the Luxembourg site that so hopefully one or two more members may wish to join in.
The Luxembourg thread is…[Read more]

I haven’t managed any work on her today but I did manage to round up a few needed spares in Tango’s garage. Cheers mate. Not sure if I will manage to get anything done this weekend and I start a new job on Monday so it could be the following weekend before I get to see her again.

I am quite sure I will have the original bracket and rubbers somewhere but where I am not sure. I cannot be certain if they were on the bike when I bought it. I will try and find them and will give it a try if I do.

Hi Michael
The horn is in the original position but it is an after market horn so only uses one of the m8 bolts. Nearly shat me pants when I tried it 😆
