It cannot pressurise the engine as it already has a breather.

Yes, the casings took a battering and have now had them welded just where the tensioner is mounted on the lower case.
The parts I need are
balancing weights with springs and sprockets.
balancer weight shafts.
Balance chain 06bh-sdh.
Tensiner mechanism completeI have the spacers for the balance weights.
I have been trying to find a supplier for the balancing chain, but is very difficult to source, I am dealing with a Japanese company that deal with D.I.D. chain. The number on the chain is 06H (zero, six, H )
Please let me know what you have and how much you require for the parts.
Thanks & Regards

I think this is off a 1978 and later, if the Belgian member doesn’t want it, I could do with it.

Did you ever try the engine without the balance weights?. I have bought an engine where the camchain has snapped and took one of the balance weights with it along with the balance weight drivechain and tensioner mechanism, so I will either run without or try and aquire a set of secondhand balance weights and relative hardware.please let me know how it went

scavpan20th January 2014 at 7:53 pm #10469scavpanParticipantHi Kaptainkwak
doing ok dude, thanks for your number, nice to hear from you again.
I have a question you or somebody might be able to answer: I have a cylinder head that has got two holes where the early b series hasn’t, i noticed this when I was putting the cam cover on the head because the camcover didn’t cover these holes. The holes are situated just behind the exhaust cam on the head and look like oil or breather holes. I have bought the head without the cam cover so I don’t have a cam cover that fits to cover these holes. I’m wondering whether I can run the head with the holes open to atmosphere, but I presume not, any help much appreciated. If I have a bike on the road, I will definitely be with you to Luxemburg.
Best Regards Y’all

15th April 2013 at 10:04 pm #8676scavpanParticipantSounds interesting Michael. I have had dealings with harley twin cranks, but they are on a common crankpin, but are similar in the fact that the pistons rise together, but dont fire together on the same stroke. They have to be statically and dynamically balanced.Scavpan
