There’s several possibilities. To me if you can’t hide it, feature it.

I quite like the number looking different. Why not try masking it n painting it black?

B2 spares mmm. You will struggle with the grab rail. In the days everyone threw them away in favour of carriers so there is now a shortage but they do come up on eBay occasionally.
