Definately a B2 then. The colour, generator and brakes are all B2 and both frame and engine numbers are B2. These were manufactured 1977 but the log book is the year of registration. It could have been sat in a dealership for a couple of years before getting registered. Nothing to worry about.
My CSR’s are 1981 year of manufacture but 1982 year…[Read more]

After a might more hunting I am going for a wrongly dated B2. B3 and B4 had caliper behind the fork leg.

That is a nice looking bike you have there.
I am confused as to which model though. It’s registration(1980)suggests a B4 whereas the engine is a B1/B2. My guess it is an incorrectly aged B2 model import. I think that colour is B2 as well.
Can anyone else contribute better?

Get the Motobatt battery. It is a little more expensive (around £55) but very well worth it. I’ve left mine for over 7 months through winter and she still fired off the button

B1 & B2 are rear mounting but harder to find. Why do you want to change that?

I have spare for the CSR but I’d guess they would be no use to you as the charging circuit amongst other bits is completely different. It would depend on how much you want to mod.

Think I might be suffering from that as well. Nearly finished my hall, stairs and landing n I’m feeling happy too.
Thanks for the heads up Lonesome. It’s back to the garage for me to get some much needed therapy.

Michael replied to the topic AIR VALVE SWITCH in the forum Tips and Ideas 10 years, 11 months ago
This pipe system is not required here in the UK. I have remove all the system from mine and fitted blanking plates. Before I got the blanking plates I simply disconnected the pipes from the airbox and joined them together with a piece of copper pipe.

I understand your frustration there Michael but that was a bit harsh. We are all different with how we handle things. I have the same frustration as you with repetitive posting but I must be honest I had not noticed that. The easiest way to handle something like this to me is if you don’t like it don’t read it.
I also think there is an element of…[Read more]

Again yes. 185cc = 185ml. That is one of the joys of the metric system. I also check the measurement (433mm +/- 2mm) from the top of the stantion to the fluid level) to be sure. Make sure the station is fully extended.

2 things here Dabbler.
1. I would recommend only use genuine Kawasaki seals. These are a bit more expensive but IMHO worth every penny as they are far better quality. They can be bought from Zpower with whom we get a club discount.
2. Yes there is a way to do it. A standard nut fits into the screw inside the fork leg to hold it while I turn the…[Read more] -
Michael replied to the topic piston rings in the forum Bike Related Sales and Wants 10 years, 12 months ago
From looking into this issue of over size rings and pistons I was confused with the way the parts get advertised but for those who don’t understand here it is:
1st oversize- +0.5mm or +0.020″
2nd oversize-+1.0mm or +0.040″It is simply an imperial conversion by the Americans from the Japanese metric sizes. Sadly for Philpass I only have 1mm oversize
