    Hi Kenny,

these are the BS34 carbs of the LTD models. Only one single “Throttle opener wire”.

Mounted in a B with stock fuel tank and fuel cock, you may cut a bit of a half of the plastic knob away to pull the choke completely. That will avoid contact with the fuel cock.

They are 34mm and only fit in intake boots from the LTD models, which…[Read more]

  • Haha !!!

You may take part at the sprints, but there are several classes and definitely your application is needed.
No free sprints at any time !

The most classes are organised by the Glemseck 101 coordinators and some (3?) classes are organised by others.

“Sultans of Sprint” is one of these separate organised sprints and it had international…[Read more]

  • Hi Lonesome Twins.

I am searching a center stand for a B in good condition.

Looking forward to your offers 😉

  • Hi TJ,
    you are crazy !!! 😉

Currently there is a hit in the charts and it’s refrain is:
“Bad ideas make the best memories!”

Looking forward to see the progress and finally you and KK at Glemseck.

    Cheers, Michael

  • Hi Beachcomber,

    that are fantastic news !

Our plan is to have an own stand of the german Z750Twin community at Glemseck 101 this year 2017 !

    ::: Glemseck 101 – Round 12

Final decision of the organisers, if we will get a place to put our stand on, is by beginning of May 2017.
    Can’t accelerate that.

Looks like about 10 attendees on Z750Twin have…[Read more]

One of our members in Germany is producing stainless steel downtubes.
They are matching all Z750Twin models and are without “H-tube”-connector. They have an upswep angle welded in for use with straight silencers.

The downtubes are single-walled, have a much larger inner diameter than the double-walled stock downtubes.
This will lead to a bit more…[Read more]

    Hi Evil Twin,

it is not about law and order, it is about respect.

This is a forum for Z750Twins and we respect you, even if you have recently posted multiple threads about a Z1000 LTD.

Well, that bike is great and we love to see your progress with it !
For sure I am interested in Kaye’s progress with her new bike, even if that is not a Z750Twin…[Read more]

Would you mind to send PMs to each others ?

Had to use the translator for several words . . .

She still looks gorgeous Marko but slightly naked without a grab rail lol.

Your adventures were great to look at. I do hope we can see more some day soon.

Have a good year mate and ride safe.

  • I was working on the redesign of the seat plate and already lowered the grab rail.
Grab rail is unchanged, just filed a “long” hole into the frame and used Inbus / allen head screws to fix it.
Cut the rear frame today to get an even surface to put the stock plastic caps in again.
Fitted the plastic side cover of a G-model and will fit a “like new”…[Read more]

  • Hi Mike,

    good to talk about that.
I can’t make it, as I am in Germany and the travel plan for June is already crowded.

As I am organising the Z750Twin meetings in Germany, I prefer the weekends close to “Full Moon”. This will provide some light in the night.

Exactly 24th of June is the opposite, we call it “New Moon” (no moon shine at that…[Read more]

    EEEEEKKKKK

Welcome back in the fold Philpass.

    What have you got?

    Pics too please

  • Good start into 2017 !

I carried the frame into the living room, close to the oven(?).

Maria wants to clean it all up and to polish it.
    She’s the best !

    Hi there,

have a nice party and a Happy New Year 2017 !

    Cheers, Michael

  • Well, at least I have managed to get all the parts into handy pieces this year.

Will move on the next days 😉

    Cheers, Michael

PS: Electrical connection is from right hand bar switch and can’t be unplugged.
Had to cut that off, but cable colors are original. Will rebuilt that with a multi-connector plug.

  • Hi Reiner,
welcome to the Lonesome Twins !

    Hi Bob,
I will ship the set to you as soon as I’ve received them.

    Cheers, Michael

  • Michael replied to the topic Doh!!! in the forum Progress Reports 9 years ago

Ah, I suspect that is the G-fork, yokes and brake calipers.

Wheels are definitively Y1 ones (48 spokes and aluminium rims!).

Brake discs are not from the Y1, as far as I can recognise from the pics.

I have a loose wheel hub of a Y1 and can do some measurements or ship it as a sample, but need that returned again.
Hope that KK can help you with…[Read more]

    Hi guys,

the G-model is absolutely unknown to be.
Just collected these information over time:
    http://www.z750twin.de/1980_g-modell.htm

Have a look into that page and scroll down. There is the only G-model shown that I have ever seen live. It is from Germany and the owner fitted the LTD spoked wheels. That may be an option ?

    Be aware of front…[Read more]
