Maybe the oil pressure is that good it never drops enough to ever bring the light on. It could happen.

it’ll stop you worrying about it up until the engine siezes along the motorway.

As the oil light reacts to oil pressure, you have either a dodgy switch or low oil pressure.
Only other thing could be a wire which has been chafed through and shorting to bring the light on.
If you can get an oil pressure gauge and adaptor to fit in place of the the Z750’s pressure switch you can test the pressure. If not change the switch and hope.

It’s time to start tracing the feeds back then. As you have lost all lights it’s going to be a case of something major like a main live feed to the fuse box, or one which joins the fuses.

I don’t think Nigella has much to worry about there yet.

I have no key for the seat lock, unless you count the ground down stump which originally fitted the old ignition barrel, and the seat lock.
Will inspect the barrel some time.

Just to hijack a little, is there any other way to find a key number as I have not got the original keyswitch. I need to try to get the key for the seat lock, and one for the steering lock.
Can the number be found from stripping the seat lock?
