Kaptainkwak started the topic 2 into 1 Exhaust System in the forum Bike Related Sales and Wants 4 years, 8 months ago
Here is a 2 into 1 exhaust system of unknown make. It is a very good used system. It is in good solid condition and has benefitted from a re chrome. There are a couple of minor marks which are out of sight when fitted and a couple of areas showing minor corrosion which do not affect it’s looks or performance and are easily addressable.
Bargain at…[Read more]

@kaptainkwak Hi will a starter motor refurb kit for a 77 B2 fit a 79 B4,cause it’s knacked and it’s the only one I can find.
Many thanks-
Hi Andyfme
Al models of the 750 twin use the same starter motor so the answer to your question is yes. However if you look on he forum one member (AndyMase) has just had his starter motor refurbed for £60 which even with postage is cheaper than the refurb kits I have seen around.
Cheers

Hi Can you help me with a problem with exhaust popping,it’s only happening in the right pipe at idle and when throttling down,it was blowing at the headers but replaced exhaust rings seals and know seems pretty tight, has electronic ignition fitted and headed pipes from yourself, starts on the button or from kick, idles, pulls like a train and has…[Read more]

Hi Andy
That problem would suggest an air leak. Have you checked the carb to head rubbers? Start the engine and get it to tick over level. Place your hands under the carbs and lift them up the push them down. If the tick over changes then you have a leak with the inlet rubbers. That can be 3 things:
1. Perished rubbers – Replace rubbers, don’t try…[Read more]

I can and did lol. Not sure what happened either, I only know basics.
Regarding he fuel cap I doubt that was it as the cap is there for only 2 reasons, to stop fuel slopping out and sh*t getting in. It does not seal 100% so as when the petrol is used the space is replaced with air.
It is sounding heat related. As the engine and other parts warm…[Read more]

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Will give the carbs a play with, I defo have a leaking exhaust, was thinking at some point to replace that.</p>
<p style=”text-align: left;”>One thing I did notice tonight was that the petrol cap wasn’t closed properly when I had topped up yesterday, was covered by tank bag so didn’t notice it yesterday. Could that be…[Read more] -

Hi All
I have picked up an excellent condition ‘Good as New’ 2 into 2 exhaust system. It has been fitted to a bike and run for less than an hour, that’s all. It has done zero road miles. It was then replaced with a full stainless steel system bought from the SHOP.
The silencers are Marving and the dowpipes are polished Stainless Steel. There is…[Read more]

Hi Andy
If your not sure how to attack this and what all the screws do hang fire. You need to systematically go through everything one step at a time.
If I remember correctly you are running a B1 with BS38 carbs. Have you got the airbox fitted?
From the symptoms you are describing I very much doubt it is the cables. I also doubt that adjusting…[Read more]

Adjusting revs? Although throttle moves a good centimeter before revs change! Has cable stretched or needs lubricating or adjusting.
Any thoughts welcome, tomorrow I’m going to try turning the screw above the choke or the assumption it may be the idle speed screw!

Ok so the z750 is back on the road and now has a working starter motor.
Today I rode it the 20 miles or so into London to work, all was good until about a mile from work and the revs went mad, they were sitting at 4k when the throttle was closed. I limped to work by some means, and hone again (which was painful in traffic).
So what is the…[Read more]

Your welcome mate. It’s what this site is intended to do. Good luck with the wiring harness. They are very scarce. I would recommend buying a used one and taking your time in repairing that.
