This is my solution to the mainstand pivot which someone  had sawn off because it was seized. Made a new pivot shaft out of stainless steel. it pivots on the needle roller bearings which are clamped to the frame in the original clamps.

A quick update.  Thanks KK I will phone this week.  Here are some pics.  “NO woodruff key” now that make a lot of sense.  There was non shown on the parts diagram.

The inside of the rotor is a bit messed up.  The brass thing and the bit of metal was jammed in there.

Thanks KK! I kinda agree with you that pillion rail would look good on the bike with current look, but my plan is to make it a bit more in (very mild) chopper style, and I’m thinking about different more narrow and lower seat, especially on the back. So I suppose pillion rail would then look odd.
