If it works and fits then that is great as long as the price is right 😛

As I just about destroyed the horribly rusted repro one on my bike I’m definitely in the market for another mudguard, if it’s chrome and fits that’ll do 🙂

My Z750 has Z650 forks on, and pushed through the yokes by about an inch and a half. They aren’t that much longer, and are easier to find.
I have a couple of pairs of Z750 forks from Ebay, all of which were pictured from the unpitted side, and arrived with bad pitting so beware if you do see some “good condition” ones for sale.

I have a pair of wheels here, they’d need cleaning up and I believe they’re from a Z750.

The starter shouldn’t pose any real problems as you have a kickstart to use. The kill switch is already there but just kills power to the coils (and starter I believe).
As for running with no battery, that may be a bit more difficult. The charge system may require some modification to get it to output voltage without any input to the exciter coil.
There are specialist companies who may be able to supply an alternative setup to run just the ignition coil. That would have to be investigated and may take a few emails or phonecalls to find one.
Nothing’s impossible though, and I’ll look out some numbers in the magazines I have here.
