MMM it is looking better. I might redo my CSR this year. The paint has not taken too well. It will be after the ACE Café run.

Hi Kaye,
you want to fit the stock airbox again ?
That is a good idea to run the bike without hazzle 😉
… except the rubber part that connects airbox and carbs !
Think about the moog(?) conversion as already discussed. You are in the position to find the best one that matches and let us know which one you have selected (manufacturer, part…[Read more] -

Who else got “big” bikes despite the Z750Twins ?
Maria has her Yamaha YZF600R “Thundercat” and I have a “Kawasaki” labeled Honda VFR750F, both 98 HP (which is a certain insurance level in Germany). More power is the “open class” and costs about double the insurance of the 98 HP limit bikes.Cheers, Michael

Hi Michael.
It was intentional. That is what I believe it stands for and certainly makes sense with our twins. I was told this some years ago by someone in a Kawasaki shop

I may be able to help with wheels.
I had mine respoked with stainless spokes using original rims and getting the centres bead blasted. I can’t remember the final cost as I had other things done too but seem to recall about £80 each wheel in the end.
Before that I did a refurb on my wheels which went quite well. I painted the spokes and nuts…[Read more]

Hi Leema
I am glad the advice on the vac tap proved good and it was a cheap fix for you.
What is the red line set at on the rev counter?
Standard piston rings on EBAY
Ace café Kawasaki Day on a Honda??? 😆 I don’t know anything about that

So we gonna get progress pictures soon then? Looking forward to seeing your progress.
Think I’m going to have to get another garage/workshop too. What little space I had to work in is now being quickly filled up with a pile of twin spares I’ve just bought and I’ve another potential purchase of spares pending
