Michael replied to the topic My Z750 not completely snowbound after #blizzardof2015 in the forum Everything Else 10 years, 8 months ago
Hi Iceman,
this blizzard is in the german news as well ! Up to 90 cm / 3 feet of snow is expected as we are told.
I have seen much more tires ruined by exposure to UV sunlight than to contact to snow.
So don’t worry about it to much.Cheers, Michael
PS: Set fire to the snow !

Michael replied to the topic Michael's engine rebuild in the forum New Projects 10 years, 9 months ago
Very interesting Kaye. Nice find. I am not sure it has a high enough temperature rating (150 & 250 deg C) though with these being old air cooled bikes.
This one might be OK though (600 deg C) Simoniz Silver VHT 600 deg C Do you have that or can you get it through work?
Does anyone have experience of Simoniz paint on air cooled engines?

Will do. I have checked their website and nothing is listed so I have sent them an email. Will report back when I get a reply.
Cheers

That’s fair enough buddy. I hadn’t noticed that. I was told 26th so I just checked that out.
Are you coming down on the VN?

That is looking really good Michael. Are you going to coat them when you have finished?
Your going to have a great workshop there. I am kind of jealous 👿

Michael replied to the topic Flat Tracker in the forum Progress Reports 10 years, 9 months ago
That’s exactly how it goes with these things.
Most bearings, seals, bolts etc aren’t usually made for a bike model. They are standard ‘manufactured in bulk’ items made by another company for use in industry. it is a matter of trying to identify the item and reference it across.
Always glad to help point out if I can.
