Welcome Dabbler. Was watching that one on fleabay. Like Michael says it’s reasonably stock. Forks, indicators, carbs n rev counter stand out to me but condition is pretty excellent. I also agree with Michael about those engine bars. They arnt mounted well.
Anyway fire away with your questions. He is from Bradford Michael. That’s about 40 miles…[Read more]

I’d be nervous with a dog like that n no incident. Price sounding good on intake. I’m guessing manifold will allow webber to fit straight in standard frame? If so I will have one please.

Blimey mate that’s quite some contrast of events to deal with. Hopefully your wife recovers ok and everything gets back to normal for you.
I won’t interfere with your vision but may help with your decisions as I would be interested in a webber inlet manifold. Do you have a price?
Anyway welcome back to our world. -
Michael replied to the topic Fuel Problems in the forum Progress Reports 11 years ago
The fuel tap on the B is gravity fed. Are you saying there are no vac pipes from the top of the carbs?
There are clocks about for the CSR but you are looking abroad. New ones go around £65 each plus postage etc. Second hand ones are a guess. The ones I have are tatty but depending on your skills can be refurbished.
There are/were 2 CSR’s on…[Read more]

You will be very very lucky. I’ve been chasing rings for months now. Pistons are easy to get. Rings almost impossible unless you wish to spend silly money.

Michael replied to the topic Fuel Problems in the forum Progress Reports 11 years ago
Hi Leema
Firstly the fuel. Turning the fuel tap to PRIME just bypasses the diaphragm of the tap. This is operated by 2 pipes that come from the carbs (1 from each carb at the top) that go into a TEE piece that in turn connects to the fuel tap. This is the smaller of the 2 pipes on the tap. When the engine is running the carbs create a suction on…[Read more] -

Hee Hee. It’s a tedious job but needs to be done. There’s nothing worse than hoping it’s OK then finding out it’s not after rebuilding. I use a Stanley knife blade and wire wool

No problem mate. I am only charging what I paid and would have to pay again to replace.
Re petrol. It sounds like the tap to me. On the CSR it is a vacuum tap so only works when the engine is running. Check the pipe from the top of both carbs to the tap (smaller one) If that is damaged or missing then replace. If it is intact I would expect the…[Read more]

Hi Michael.
I bought some CSR clocks from you sometime last year I think. Would those be the ones you were looking for?Hi Leema
I might be able to get some clocks together but I’m quite sure they will be tatty as I have been trying to get good sets for my CSR’s. Will try and have a look at weekend.Did you check your message inbox?

Right here goes. I have a spare grab rail. It is in very good condition. I believe it’s been cleaned ready for chroming. I got one chromed few years ago. As a single item it cost me £50 which I think is quite dear. Will sell either but obviously the chromed one will be £50 more than the non chromed. Up to you Leema

Hi Leema
Yes it does sound like a big project but I have been collecting parts for years now and have pretty much all I need. You would be surprised what’s out there when you hunt. I’ve collected many NOS parts including wiring harness, idiot light cover, frame and a full set of engine covers to name but a few. I have also bought an ideal donor…[Read more]

Hey Leema. Great to see you onboard.
I am blessed with 5 CSR’s and a B1. Also I have a ZRX1200R and a KMX125. I only had to go 15 years without a twin and that was bad enough. Only one of my twins is road worthy but I am getting ready to start a project of building a 100% original showroom condition CSR. If you need anything for yours shout up I…[Read more]
