The Condenser for the B’s is Kawasaki part no. 21013-034. There are plenty on Ebay but seem to be in USA. They also show on Holland ebay and German Ebay but again these are in the USA.
As far as the wire colour is concerned I do not think that matters. If memory serves me right the Kawasaki part had Blue wire but I seem to also remember seeing…[Read more]

Hey Toeknee you finally made it here. Good to see you pal and nice to know your getting the Twin Bug.
I go back a few years with Toeknee. He is on our list of attendees for Belgium and has paid for the ferry. He is travelling with us on his ZRX1100, maybe next time on a twin???

There is absolutely no problem there buddy. Mine runs with lights on all the time and mine measured 12.84. I’m happy with that

Tango came over today for us to get some twin miles in before Belgium. Sadly I delayed proceedings as my rebuilt forks decided to leak after only 8 miles of use. Luckily I have another pair of forks that appeared to be OK so I changed the front end and away we went.
We covered 60 variable miles over moors, potholes, Dual carriageways, motorways…[Read more]

Thanks for the comments guys. She is now built in principle but I still have work to do to achieve the standard I want. Respoking the wheels and new tyres are the only main thing now. I have a few more new parts to fit mainly for cosmetic reasons and she will get a good clean and polish.

Good result Samurai. I suggest you run her at least once a month even if only in the garden on tickover for 15 mins or so

The ferry from Hull to Rotterdam (Europort) is now booked for the 5 that paid. Price was £227 but managed to get a discount (said MCN membership) and I got it for £214 so happy days all round there.
We’re all going on a summer holiday 😀

She is looking like I want her to now. Still got work to do. Rebuilding a pair of wheels with new spokes and tyres, fitting best indicator lenses, clean and polish. Going to try slash cut exhausts and maybe wrap the downpipes.
Apart from that I think she is ready 😀

Depending on how clean they are mate you might find there was congealed petrol in them that has now been dislodged and blocking a passage. Petrol these days can go off in a matter of months so worth a look buddy and that won’t cost you. Get a can of Carb Cleaner. Its worth every penny with the shit it moves.

I work Monday to Friday so difficult for me to spend time midweek. I could call over but only for an hour or 2.

Removed clocks today to redo mounting rubbers and sort oil pressure light. Bulb hadn’t gone as suspected, it was a broken wire so fitted a spare.

Made and fettled nosecone brackets. All fitted up properly. Have dismantled it and sprayed brackets. Rubbers fitted to cone and headlight bracket stiffened up so should be a simple assembly tomorrow. Once that is done I will post some pics before giving her a thorough clean and polish
