Somebody put a lot of time and forethought into that bike.  Shame it wasn’t maintained.

Yes, that’s the one, a bit neglected, but it should be back on the road  soon.

Hi guys,  yes KK, that is the bike, but it’s obviously not been cared for since that photo. I’m in the middle of re-wiring it, and changing a few things.

The starter motor is not working, if you have one I’d be interested,  or if you know who can repair them, that would be helpful.

Ok, valves refitted for second time, still not right but made a step in the right direction,  I now have a gap on all valves using the 2.3mm shim.you sent me to try. I Will attach a picture  of my workings out,  can you double check the figures and can you now supply the correct sized shims?

Yes mate, hes taking a little off the valve tips. He mentioned getting shims done but he doesn’t have the right equipment for that. He’s taking the 0.1mm for the gap off today, that I forgot to factor in. There was no gap at all, in fact to start with the back of the cam lobe where to take your gap measurement from was pressing against the shims…[Read more]

Hi, I now own this bike that was built by Street Tuff. It’s in a sorry state now, but I’ll sort out the issues it has, and change a couple of things to suit my taste. I can’t wait to get it out on the road.

Preston isn’t that far from me so if I can help there just shout up.

I assume he is grinding the valve stems down to create a gap. We can also grind shims if needed. I believe they are hardened through not just the surface.
