ParticipantThink its update time, Ive been away for a couple of days but, Ive not been slacking.
Started to get some paint down on the panels,I’m no body work specialist, but then again I can’t afford to pay for a professional paint job either. So needs must and all that!

ParticipantSo after removing the clocks and painting the clock mounting bracket, and removing the handlebar clamps for painting, also I got some new stainless steel mounting bolts.
So this is much nicer than she was.
Oh the cable tie on the clutch was because the clutch plates had stuck together! I got told to tie the clutch leaver in,to take the pressure off the plates and kick the bike over a couple of times to get oil over all of the plates again!& leave it over night!. It worked a treat! The clutch seams fine now!

KeymasterGood photo mate. I can tell everyone she looks much better in the flesh.
Now this wirirng . . .
Ever heard the phrase ‘A friend in need???’ Well its piggin true i can tell you lol.
It appears the ‘New’ ignition switch does not connect the circuits correctly. When the key is turned the earth circuit (Black/Yellow -ve) becomes positive. Has anyone else had this kind of problem?

ParticipantHi,
I had some trouble with the ignition switch as it was an aftermarket switch, not clearly defined for the model, different connectors, different cable colors.
I had to measure all the cables in every contact position to find out how it works. The cable with the largest diameter was treated as “Plus” from the battery.
It ended up with not using the “Park” position at all.
Off is off, on is on, end of story.
Good luck,

ParticipantThe switch was bought of eBay,It said it was for a “IGNITION SWITCH FOR KAWASAKI Z750 B1 TWIN Z750 B2 TWIN (260290749994)” (yes I did troll through my purchase history to find the listing! to make sure?)
Lucky my wife didn’t buy it? Id still be looking through her buying history!!It was a 4 wire switch with all the wires the same colors as the harness? But something isn’t right with it?
As for the parking light! The only parking light I need is the light in my garage! If we have to loose it so be it! -
