It looks like a portion of wire spaghetti lol. It does seem however you are nearly there.

I totally agree with ‘Your Garage. Your Rules’ but I do think it is a sweet touch that you have a picture of her on the wall.

Keep up the hard work Michael

    Respect

Did some “glass fiber work” yesterday and today:

… and made a “db-eater” for the new exhaust. Found a spare AME one (german Chopper builder since the Seventies).
It matches new silencer pretty well, only few mods needed:

Now it is not so loud anymore, should be much better now in avoiding trouble with police and neighbours.
No idea if performance is affected. Didn’t had a test ride with new db-eater yet.

Well, a custombike like this Caferacer is never done !

    Working on the entire “cockpit”.
Speedometer in central position, new grips, new bar end blinkers, new headlight holder.

Everything still under construction and adjustment 😉

    Cheers, Michael

    ThanX, KK 😉
    Bike is running very well.

Maybe changing the front fork springs and fork oil may achieve some smoother operation, but it is ok in the moment.

To prepare the bike for a ten days trip to northern Germany and three days in Denmark it was necessary to add some transport capabilities.
As shown before I have now mounted a baggage carrier from Krauser, but all mountings are made individually matching this bike.

Had the first 70 km / 45 miles test drive with empty cases and no issues. The tension belts are highly recommended not to loose the complete case.
Ok, will do another test with 10 kg per case. That is max recommended loading.

    Cheers, Michael

Nicely mounted but a little wide for me. I would like them tucked in more.

    Looks great though. Well done.

    Hi KK,

I wouldn’t prefer the width either, but it was necessary.
Cases sit adjacent to the rear shocks now, and not behind as it was originally ment.
As the rear frame is shortened, there is nothing left to fix the carrier to in the back.

A small clearance between cases and rear shocks is needed, to avoid damage.
I can’t even get my fingertip in between.

I had the season opening this Saturday.
Tested the new jacket in larger size than normal to wear more warm stuff under it.

Preparation for Norway and me on the Lofoti 😉

It worked at +8°C and high humidity (no rain) at a 120 km / 75 miles test run including the “ton” 😉

    Cheers, Michael

PS: Of course I have removed the baggage carrier last year already.
    It is a Caferacer, not a “Koffer”-Racer !
