Spotted you!!! Your video was pretty spectacular Michael. There were sixty five bikes on the ride I did in Southampton, I think there was more than that in the first 30 seconds of your video!
As a town we raised a respectable £7065. My brother came as pillion and hands up but I rode a modern bonneville as the brakes on the Kwak need sorting. The rural part of the ride was brilliant but like kk spoke about on his ride once we hit town on ours it was stop start and fighting for road space with buses etc. I haven’t been able to add pictures. Since updating my I phone I can’t seem to reduce the JPEG size and they won’t upload. (Any tips welcome) amazing amounts of money raised for the good cause

Looking good though beachcomber it’s good to see the piccies

I got a new tacho cable from zpower. The guys were extremely helpful and supplied number of bits for my b4 with discount as a lonesome user. All were correct for the model and received next day.
Hope this helps

13th May 2015 at 11:25 am #12491DuffyParticipantBlimey that’s smart. Worth the wait by the look of it!
12th May 2015 at 6:03 pm #12487DuffyParticipantHi kk, yes please I will have it. I can’t seem to reply on pm is it possible via email?
12th May 2015 at 5:25 pm #12486DuffyParticipantOooo how much?
12th May 2015 at 3:06 pm #12485DuffyParticipantThanks kk, I’m loving it!! Totally agree re grab rail. It looks like someone has had a rack on there at sometime as there is a rub mark across the tail, but I will keep a look out for rail. Hubby and I took a friend who lives in Portugal to a guy not to far from us who deals in old bikes. Our friend wanted to buy something to take back and sell there as they make good money in Portugal apparently. Well I spotted the Kwak and it was love at first sight!!! It just looked a really genuine old bike. I had been looking for something for some time but old japs up together seemed to make silly money. Right place at the right time for once!!
Re photos, with my computer skills believe me it’s amazing that any got there at all even if they were upside down and duplicated but I will try harder next time!!!
10th May 2015 at 6:37 pm #12484DuffyParticipantHa oil leak solved! Fitted a new tacho cable complete with seals. The o ring was in there but not the other bit so oil was pushing through. It’s nice not to be choking on burning oil fumes when you start up anymore
10th May 2015 at 2:59 pm #12477DuffyParticipantHi lonesome,
There is a Facebook page “two wheel extravaganza”.
Weather forecast is good!!
5th May 2015 at 5:08 am #12408DuffyParticipantThanks Kaye, I have to admit I hadn’t even thought about getting replacement parts and how difficult it would be when I got the bike, It wasn’t like that in the ’80’s ha. My last bike was an 1100 Kwak and having searched and found this twin just thought it was really smart. I’m very pleased with it but it has has had its share of teething troubles!! My ignorance and impatience haven’t helped. Finding you lot has been mine and its saviour!!
