That’s a great idea with the hinged seat Michael. Is that the actual battery we can see?
I do like the pond. Any fish in it?

That is bang on Michael. As far as the inlet cam is concerned I am led to believe the exhaust cam has a bigger lift than the inlet cam and is quite easily machined to be accepted as an inlet cam therefore allowing a bigger dose of fuel mixture to be delivered. I too am looking at this option but first will be shaft drive after Belgium.

The last picture appears to show a mag front wheel but the pin striping on the tank is like a CSR. I am unsure what the model is. maybe its a mixture?

Michael replied to the topic Rattling side stand in the forum Technical Garage 12 years, 2 months ago
Hang on a mo. Yours is a B model isn’t it. If I am correct the side stand rested on the original silencer so if you have aftermarket exhausts then this might not have the resting spot. A shorter spring or a bracket would be needed

Michael replied to the topic Rattling side stand in the forum Technical Garage 12 years, 2 months ago
Mine is lightly tensioned when folded up. You could try to bend the hooks a bit more on the spring. This would effectively make the spring a bit shorter

That is a great idea Michael and something we will do.
We do have a plan for the trike but we have a project to complete first. The trike we want to be shaft drive so I am looking at converting a CSR to shaft drive before we start on the trike.
All knowledge, comments and opinions are useful when undertaking such projects. I will look at sharing…[Read more]

Michael replied to the topic Tyres in the forum Technical Garage 12 years, 2 months ago
I agree there Michael. The worst case I remember doing was back in the late 70’s when I put a 2.75 Yokohama rear on my Z1000 MKII 4.00 rim. I had no major problems when riding. Being more knowledgeable I would not recommend it but it did do the job.
-
Michael replied to the topic Tyres in the forum Technical Garage 12 years, 2 months ago
It appears the maximum recommended for a 1.85 rim is a 3.5 tyre Tyres on Rims . However I have run bikes with over and under sized tyres in the past without incident.
If you are interested I have a brand new Avon Roadrider 120-90-18 rear tyre mmmmm

Hi KK,
no idea about the disc diameter of the G’s !
They are not included in any documentation I have.
May they use a brake disc similar to the CSRs ?
Cheers, Michael

Do you think you will manage another trip out next season as well or is it a bit early to call that one?

Well here you are N9VIW you mad it in. Welcome.
I must agree with Michael that most likely is not a CSR and probably an S1 or S2. Maybe even a K with chain conversion. The VIN number will help us tell you the model you have.
What a great introduction there with some top bikes especially the K4. I always wanted one of those until I discovered…[Read more]

Good reminders there Tango. I need to sort my E111 and notify my insurance too.
Need to set my fone as well so it doesn’t cost me a fortune while away

Personally Marko I prefer with a grab rail. The only reason I haven’t got one on mine is because of my carrier.
Yes Michael I agree. A clean filter works wonders
