Finally after 2 days of soaking I have managed to remove the old pistons from the GPZ master cylinders. This has confirmed that I do have the correct cylinder repair kits so happy days there. Clean up and respray next then assembly and fit to bike 🙂

Ouch. What Michael says will obviously work but to me it is criminal damage to a CSR head especially when I am after one and have a spare B head.
I know you have refurbed the head and I am willing to take business of an exchange to compensate you for your efforts.

Some very good questions there Michael. I can get hold of standard pistons but not rings. The 1st and 2nd oversize are much more difficult as you say. A big bore kit is worth looking into as well. It will probably take some time but should be worth the mileage

Not to much done to the bike since painting but progress has still been made. Chrislwg has refurbished my starter clutch and it will be posted back to me tomorrow. My sprocket cover has been modified and a ZRX1200 clutch piston has been fitted to it. Have been to meet a new spares contact tonight. He is from the motorbike racing world and now…[Read more]

Ah Thank You guys for clearing that up. That is the equivalent of what we in the UK call a ‘Log Book’ but I must admit both seem in more depth than ours. We just quote the basic facts and those can generally be changed with little fuss.

I am happy with your judgement Michael. The one Tango suggests I can get 50 for £18 which is a bargain and a nice gift for every twin owner we meet. I will chase the same at 50 long.

You are exactly right there Michael and so are you Dougyt. I am in discussion with Tango about these 2 issues. He is wanting to understand this himself so it is difficult for me to discuss and not fix the problem which is why he is asking on here.
Thank you guys and please keep the help and advice coming.

I will see if we can add a music player to the website. You never know what that might give us all

Hee Hee Hee Hee Hee.
It is the same excitement here. We are really looking forward to it as well. Tango’s bike is ready for the trip. Chrislwg is nearly ready (parts in the post). Edmund is nearly there. Mine has only just started but is very much moving forward. We have parts flying all over the country and in true British style we are helping…[Read more]

No Tango you missed the point there mate. A ‘B’ axle will NOT fit the rear wheel of a CSR. They have different bearings and swinging arm width. What I am saying is the rear axle of a ‘B’ will fit and remove the rotor of ALL twins
