Michael replied to the topic Twin without balancer weights ? in the forum How To Fix It 13 years ago
Hi KK,
there are several other twins or large singles out there that have no balancer weights 😉
Yamaha XS650 or SR/XT500, maybe some of the english twins, not sure.Maybe the counterweight at the crankshaft must be modified as well to find the best compromise in reducing the forces in vertical direction (agains piston) and in horizontal…[Read more]

NOOOOOOOO 😮 😮
I believe it has been tried and the bike just hops uncontrolably like being on a pogo stick.
I personably would not attempt it because with the pistons going up together something needs to counteract the forces 😛

Thank You again Michael. However i have found a great way for us English folk to view your website.
If we enter your site German Z750 Site using google chrome it gives the option to translate the page from German to English. There is a drop down menu on the right hand side that lets us select ‘Always translate German to English. This…[Read more]

Michael replied to the topic Shims – centralised buying planned in the forum Bike Related Sales and Wants 13 years ago
Now this is the type of thing i like to hear. We have a reasonable stock of shims here in the UK. I personally would be happy to swap shims and cost would then only be postage. If we do not have the right sizes and have to order from OZ my son lives there (Melbourne) and i have other OZ contacts too so could probably get better postage.

Hi guys,
that 6-cylinder Twin isn’t real as you already found out !
It is “Photo-choped” around the year 2000 and now 13 years old 😉
It was placed on the former german Twin website hosted by Garfield from 1999 to 2001. Since 2002 I am doing the german website.Btw, here is new “photo-chop” 😉
Or is it real ?
Not yet, but ……[Read more] -

Hi KK,
have you placed pictures of your bikes in the forum?
Please advice how I can find them 😉I will use CSR wheels in my hardcore chopper project 😉
But until now that is just a LTD frame, front fork, it’s dual disc brakes and fuel tank, a 35 cm Apehanger and advanced(?) foot pegs.

Michael replied to the topic Number of Twins in the UK ? in the forum New Member Introductions 13 years, 1 month ago
That is a really good question. I did hear a few years ago that only around 3000 were sold in the UK in its time.
Unfortunately i have absolutely no idea how that figure may have changed today but my guess would be only a few hundred with many of them being imports.
Dont even know where to find out. We did try the DVLA (our driving record…[Read more]

Thats cool. Ive recently been looking at the bikes in the pics of your 2012 meet. I’m wanting ideas for a bobber style project and i have been inspired by a few of your members bikes.
We must meet again sometime.

Hello Michael and welcome to our humble abode. I remember our meet in Belgium. It was a great time and we must do it again.
Pull up a chair and wait for the others to come along. I will try and address the html text in your previous post.
Cheers for now
