MOT passed with only one advisory for “noisy exhaust”
Not sure where I am going to go with the exhausts now, I dare say it sounds great at a quarter of a mile away but it’s just way too loud for me.
I prefer to be seen going rather than heard coming!!

I had a TDM850 as a big bike for about 9 years, went around Europe a few times and Scotland, Wales, IOM, Ireland.
270 degree crank means cruising at 80 feels like you are ticking over compared with four cylinder bikes which always feel as if you need a higher gear.

Should not be to difficult to find as it is a 100% fail, intermitant fauls are more difficult to find, probably just a block conecter come apart.

Spray on coloured silicon is available from the likes of ebay that is made for that job, not used it personally, also read that heat wrap is easier to wrap if it is soaked in water to soften it first.
Not an expert on this subject but I will soon be doing mine soon so I will have to learn fast!

Wow Michael that sounds expensive and complicated, There in no regulations here on old bikes like these but the newer ones must by law have a stamp on the exhaust to show they are up to a certain standard (Regarding noise pollution). However noise does not seem to be policed so people tend to buy “Track only” pipes and use those.

I knew I had this pair of silencers somewhere, They are off a Yamaha TRX850, I bought them in 09 for spares as they were for next to nothing and I had a TDM850 at the time which they would fit.
Just tried them against the KZ and don’t look to bad ( I know some of you will be against not standard parts!!) Should give a nice quiet but deep tone.

Looks much better now it’s on its wheels, had a tidy up as well, Only big job left is exhausts, I have bought some shorty megaphones which I think will look ok swept up, certainly sound good!!
